CUET UG 2025: Major Exam Changes Announced  The National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched a new website for CUET UG 2025 at cuet.nta.nic.in, serving as a centralized platform for undergraduate admissions. Candidates can check the application link, list of participating universities, and other essential details. The registration schedule is expected to be announced soon. Key Changes in CUET UG 2025 Computer-Based Test (CBT): The exam will now be conducted entirely in computer-based mode, replacing the previous hybrid format. Flexible Subject Selection: Candidates can opt for subjects regardless of their Class 12 stream. Reduced Subject Count: The number of available subjects has been reduced from 63 to 37. Admissions for discontinued subjects will be based on General Aptitude Test (GAT) scores.   Telangana makes Telugu mandatory in all schools The Telangana government has announced the mandatory implementation of the Telugu language curriculum in all schools affiliated with CBSE, ICSE, IB, and other boards across the state. The decision, approved on February 25, 2025 , follows a proposal from the Director of School Education, Telangana, Hyderabad . Changes in Curriculum From the 2025-26 academic year , Class 9 students will study ‘Vennela’ (Simple Telugu) instead of ‘Singidi’ (Standard Telugu) . CBSE to Conduct Class X Board Exams Twice a Year from 2026 The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has approved draft guidelines for holding Class X board exams twice a year starting from 2026, officials confirmed on Tuesday. "The draft norms will be made public for feedback, and stakeholders can submit their suggestions until March 9. The final policy will be announced thereafter," an official stated. According to the proposed schedule, the first phase of exams will be conducted from February 17 to March 6 , while the second phase will take place from May 5 to 20 . Both exams will cover the full syllabus , and students will be assigned the same examination centers for both sessions. Exam fees will be revised accordingly and collected at the time of application. UPMSP Reschedules Class 10 & 12 Exams in Prayagraj Amid Mahakumbh Festivities

 The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has postponed the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams scheduled for February 24 in Prayagraj due to the ongoing Mahakumbh Mela. Minister Gulab Devi announced the decision, citing the expected large influx of devotees in the city. The postponed exams, including Class 10 Hindi and healthcare papers and Class 12 military science and Hindi papers, will now be held on March 9. This year, over 54.37 lakh students are set to appear for the UP Board exams, which will take place from February 24 to March 12 across 8,140 examination centers. A state-level control room with 54 computers has been set up to monitor the exams and ensure strict measures against malpractice.

Madhyamik Exams: 20 Students Banned for Carrying Phones to Exam Halls

 The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has barred 20 students from continuing their Class 10 Madhyamik exams for carrying mobile phones into exam halls. This action follows the board’s strict policy prohibiting electronic devices during exams. Board President Ramanuj Ganguly stated that only designated officials can carry mobile phones inside exam centers. Students from South 24 Parganas, Uttar Dinajpur, Coochbehar, Alipurduar, and Bankura were caught violating this rule, with three students banned on the final exam day . Authorities had previously warned that any student caught with a phone would be disqualified .
