Madhyamik Exams: 20 Students Banned for Carrying Phones to Exam Halls

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has barred 20 students from continuing their Class 10 Madhyamik exams for carrying mobile phones into exam halls. This action follows the board’s strict policy prohibiting electronic devices during exams.

Board President Ramanuj Ganguly stated that only designated officials can carry mobile phones inside exam centers. Students from
South 24 Parganas, Uttar Dinajpur, Coochbehar, Alipurduar, and Bankura were caught violating this rule, with three students banned on the final exam day.

Authorities had previously warned that any student caught with a phone would be disqualified.
