Delhi Government Launches ‘School Web App’ to Digitally Revolutionize Education System

The Delhi Government has launched a new digital platform — the ‘School Web App’ — to transform the city’s education landscape by merging academics, administration, and communication under one digital ecosystem. The initiative, introduced on November 7, aims to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accessibility in all government schools.

What Is the Delhi School Web App?

The School Web App is a one-stop digital solution connecting students, teachers, and parents. Through this platform, users can easily access key school services including:

• Digital attendance tracking

• Homework updates and class schedules

• Study materials and learning resources

• Exam results and progress reports

By eliminating paperwork and enabling real-time updates, the Delhi government aims to make school operations smarter and more student-centric.

Supporting Digital India and Viksit Bharat 2047 Vision

At the launch event, Education Minister Ashish Sood highlighted that this initiative reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Digital India and Viksit Bharat 2047.

“True digital empowerment ensures that information reaches every student instantly and accurately,” said Sood.
He added that the School Web App would promote transparency, strengthen communication, and encourage innovation in classrooms.

Reducing Teachers’ Burden and Empowering Parents

The Delhi School Web App minimizes teachers’ administrative responsibilities by automating attendance, grading, and record-keeping. This allows teachers to spend more time mentoring students.

For parents, the app provides real-time monitoring of their child’s academic journey, enabling better communication with schools and greater involvement in learning.

Aligned with NEP 2020 Goals

The initiative is designed in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, focusing on skill-based education, creativity, digital literacy, and physical well-being. The app also integrates Fit India Movement activities to promote overall student development.

A Milestone for Delhi’s Education Transformation

Expressing gratitude to the developers and educators behind the project, Minister Sood said:

“This app is a major step toward building a digitally empowered education system. It represents Delhi’s commitment to smart governance and student-driven progress.”

The Delhi Government also plans to expand the app with AI-powered analytics in the future to further personalize learning and optimize decision-making.
